Make a backup of your current Marathon Infinity shapes file. Then Open the "East Shapes Shuttle". It will ask you where your shapes file is. Find the backup you made, and let the marvelous Shapes Shuttle (created with Charles LeChasseur"s Shapes Juggler 1.0) do its thing. It may ask if you want to optimize the file (of course you do) and it might take a minute to update your Shapes to the Earth set, but when you're done you'll be all set to tackle the two-level Marathon East Scenario.
Marathon East features your favorite tourist destinations in Europe and North Africa, guided by your host and boss, The Commodore. Look for the special debut of the Cat Mummy! Ooh. Scary.
Seeing as the idea is to create outdoor, Earth-like environs, some of the perspective doesn't quite jibe with what we're all used to in real life. But that's okay: one beta tester said "It looks like a dream". Cool. Also, if you play the map without patching your shapes file, you'll get some strange results. Kind of like a Salvador Dali painting. I wouldn't recommend it, but you could try it.
The usual tips and hints apply:
Stay moving. Conserve ammo. Save often.
Enjoy!
